Local Attractions near Pinckney Bend

The central location of our B&B puts you close to all the attractions of the Missouri River Wine Trail. Central Missouri's wineries offer award-winning wines, fabulous food, and live entertainment.


If the Wine Trail is not your thing, there are plenty of other trails around to explore. The city of Washington has a walk/run/bike trail along the riverfront.  Access to the Katy Trail is in Dutzow, just north of Washington, Missouri.  The Bluebird Hiking Trail at the Cedar Creek Conference Center in New Haven is an easy-fitness four-mile trail encircles the property and offers spectacular views of the countryside (101 Cedar Creek Rd., New Haven, MO 63068).


The John Colter Memorial, at the corner of Main and Miller Street in New Haven has exhibits featuring John Colter and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Native American artifacts and Missouri River history are also topics included in the museum.  It adjoins a river walk which extends a quarter mile along the Missouri River levee. Interpretive signs provide information about the Lewis and Clark Expedition as well as local history.
