"I can’t believe you wake up to this every morning. Absolutely stunning views. I’m moving in :-)  Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing this beautiful place. I needed a stress reliever and a place to refresh, and I got it plus some. I will definitely be back and will tell everyone about Pinckney Bend B&B."
Kristi from Eudora, KS.

"We came here to celebrate Virgil’s birthday. He wanted a quiet getaway from our hectic everday life. We got that and so much more.
The view!!  Who could ever get tired of waking up to the beautiful view of the river and the surrounding countryside. We also enjoyed the décor and the way the rustic barn is interwoven with the wine theme. The artistic design with the corks is very unique. I’m sure we will share the experience of this place with our friends and family. I am also hoping to find more time to visit again.

P.S. The food was wonderful! The inn keepers are friendly and couldn’t be nicer."
Sheila & Virgil from Lake Saint Louis, MO

"Last day of staying at this wonderful cabin. Enjoyed our small anniversary getaway. The view made it feel like we were not in Missouri because it was so breath-taking. Most definitely going to stay here again when it's warmer or just stay at a later time in October to see the leaves change colors. Thank you for the delicious breakfast and the barbecue sauces. Hope to see you both again soon."

"We only live 30 minutes from here, but feel we’ve traveled to a destination unknown! Such a spectacular view! Although it was too cold to spend much time on the deck [in January], the view from our bed still allowed us to appreciate the sights and sounds from the ice flows, the honking flights of geese, eagles, the full moon and the train passing through! Thank you for a wonderful breakfast, the tour of your lovely home and interesting conversation. What a life! Look forward to returning real soon and spreading the word about Pinkney Bend Bed & Breakfast!"
Ellen & John

"This place is amazing, the view, the food and of course you two on and we can’t forget our greeter, Teal. :-) Even with the rainy, gloomy weather, this place was amazing! You guys go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and make this a wonderful experience. We will be back for sure – and we will make sure it’s not in the rainy season! Even it was, our time here would still be amazing. We couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate my husband’s birthday! Looking forward to seeing you again!"
Amanda & Dan from Liberty, MO.

"What a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. We came to Firefest 2015 to share this beautiful weather with my brother – 'Lancito'! Very nice time and such a friendly town of people. My son has so enjoyed the river view. It is such a treasure to watch the fog lift over the morning to give way to the beauty of the river. We awoke to the gun shots from the deer hunters, but one definitely got away! He was peeking in on us from the woods over the deck. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of land!"
The Benson Family from Champaign, IL.

"Sunday morning – our second visit with you – gorgeous fog over the river and surroundings at sunrise – peaceful sounds of breezes through the trees – birds soaring through their open air space – we enjoyed our June visit so much [that] we returned with friends. Your French memorabilia is endlessly fascinating – love the wine “cures”. Your graciousness – your gourmet breakfast – loved the croissant bread pudding – we will be back! How can an hour’s drive feel like a million miles from home? We wish you continued success with this lovely endeavor! See you in the spring!"
Sara & Dave from Kirkwood, MO.

"What a wonderful place you have here! Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back! "
Kathy & Matt from Kansas City, MO.

"We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We saw an adult and juvenile Bald Eagle this morning on the sandbar before the two barges came through the bend. The beautiful red fox was down the path by the old barn, surprised to see us. The vie wof the river is calming and peaceful and we enjoyed the deck so much. Both of our breakfasts were delicious, thank you for every little detail! You are wonderful hosts and we appreciated the fine fireside chat, too. Thank you for everything. We’ll be back!"
Margg & Dan from Kirkwood, MO.

"Thank you for sharing your lovely new B&B with us. It is a slice of heaven. This is our first trip since our daughter was born, and it was perfect. We didn’t need our passports yet felt far from home. Woke up refreshed... watched the fog lift form the river and an eagle soaring. This is just what the doctor ordered, a little R&R. Thank you!"
Kent & Karen from Kansas City, MO.

"What a special place this is. Our daughter and her husband spent a weekend here not too long ago, truly enjoyed the visit, scenery was amazing; their recommendation was enough. So here we are, my husband and I enjoyed our 6th anniversary here; beautiful; breakfast amazing, snack carmel apple J treat.  Thank you peaceful B&B on Pinckney Bend river; watching, relaxing, listening to the birds and letter yourself go to nature and all of its beauty. What a small world to know that Tom and yourself know some of the same people in University City that we know. We will return again. Thank you,"
Bruce & Debbie from Maplewood, MO.

"We are so sorry that we did not write in your guest registry [transcribed from a mailed card]. Possibly because there are not words to adequately describe the intrinsic beauty of our accommodations nor the incredibly affable and charming hosts! Really, what you two did was fantastic, every little detail. Wow. Thank you for our wonderful stay."
Toni & Wally

"Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your wonderful B&B. George had told me so much about it – but nothing could really describe the perfection. So sorry I was not able to meet you – I hear you tell wonderful stories about the house and B&B. There will be a next time for sure."
George & Carol from Plano, TX.

"What a wonderful place! Inside and out! We saw an armadillo on the deck just after we woke up. Then a raccoon down the hill. Finally we saw a freezer float down river! Ha ha. It’s absolutely the most beautiful view of anywhere we have stayed. Summer was great – it just makes you want to see it in the others seasons too. We will return! Thanks to you both for sharing your lovely spot above the River. It is truly unique. We wish you much success in the future."
Kevin & Alisha from St. Peters, MO.

We wish you much joy in this next adventure!"

"What a glorious retreat! We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this weekend, and our stay at Pinckney Bend far exceeded either of our expectations. We can’t say enough about the view, the cottage, or your kind hospitality. We truly enjoyed getting to know you thru conversations and getting to experience some of the things you love in New Haven and Pinckney Bend. Thank you so much for your attention to detail and for creating such a restful, beautiful place. We will surely tell our friends and plan to book another stay before the year ends!"
Sincerely,
Rachel & Joe

"Dear Trish and Tom, This note is slow to reach you, but the conversations we have had about your gorgeous B&B have been quick and frequent! We’ve not stopped telling everyone about the wonderful experience we had at Pinckney Bend! You have created a spectacular retreat which is such a drivable distance from St. Louis! Thank you for the delightful and gourmet breakfast on your veranda. Dave and I both so enjoyed hearing of your adventures and touring your home. May you have many happy years ahead in New Haven! We’ve consumed the delicious strawberry jam! And last, but not least, I am enjoying your daughter-in-law’s second book as much as the first – your family is very gifted. We enjoyed New Haven distillery, Astral Glass and pizza too! We will return. THANK YOU!"
Sara & Dave

"Thank you for your gracious hospitality. You made our visit great by being so very welcoming. You made us feel like friends not as just patrons. We came to celebrate our 41st Anniversary. What a great place to do that! The view is awesome! It is very peaceful and beautiful. God blessed you with this and you shared it with us. Thank You! I or we loved the décor. It is charming and yet our needs were all met. The food is wonderful and loved our treats. Sitting on the deck having our coffee was a great way to start our day. We really hated to leave it to explore the rest of your wonderful little town. Thank you again for everything. We will tell our friends."
Jim & Carolyn from Corder, MO.

"Thank you for an amazing weekend!! You have created a beautiful place here. We still can't get over the view. What a peaceful and serene location. It was absolutely gorgeous!! "Thank you for a lovely time and all the years of friendship. We love your cottage and beautiful home."
Marikay from Sonoma, CA.

"These cottages are wonderful!  So thoughtfully furnished and cozy.  I could have laid in bed all day just watching the river.  We felt so secluded and restful.  There is so much to do and see in the area though--it's really the best of both worlds;  Rest and Play."
Holly and Tom from Glen Arbor, Michigan.

"Lucky Us! To be the first to sign your guest book. This place is awesome with the most restful views. John loved watching the barges being maneuvered around the bend of the river. You treated us to delicious food & we especially enjoyed our bedtime treat! You accommodated John’s gluten issue with cookies he savored. Thank you. We shall recommend you and your hospitality."
John & Diane

"We saw bluebirds, woodpeckers, grey squirrels, turkey vultures and hawks."
